DISEÑO Y TERRITORIO - ARQDIS UNIANDES

Kevin Fonseca Laverde. Born in 1993, he lives and works in Colombia. He studied industrial design at the National University of Colombia and specialized in collective memories, human rights and resistance at the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). He began his experience as a project manager in 2014 founding collectives and collaborating, from/with design and management, in cultural processes in Valle del Cauca and then in Cundinamarca (Colombia); he also began research in design in the social design line in 2015 and in 2016 he named it Design and Conflict. That same year, together with his team, they receive the A'design Award recognition from the Italian organization A'design Award & Competition in the Social Design line; thanks to this recognition the project is exhibited in several countries around the world. Since 2017 it has focused on activating research through pedagogical and project actions, in addition to building projects with different organizations. She has lectured in Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico and Spain about her research in events such as the Art and Society Forum of the Pontifical Xavierian University of Cali (2017), the Twelfth International Conference on Design Principles & Practices: No Boundaries Design in Barcelona (ESP) in the area of Design for Society (specifically: Memory, Commemoration, Design) - 2018, talk Thinking Design from Conflict in Study Material (CO) - 2019, invited talk Design and Culture for the Secretariat of Culture of Palmira, Colombia (2020), workshop leader in the INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR: ACTIVISMO Y ESPACIO PÚBLICO of the Universidad Ibero de Puebla (MX) - 2021 and in 2022 as an advisor in peace building for diverse technological futures in TecnoRizoma of Sapiens Laboratory (GTM), panelist in Cátedra entorno creatividad resiliente of the Universidad Ibero de Puebla (MX) and workshop leader of the 2. International School Design and Creation of the Technological Institute of Medellin (CO), among others.

He is currently Co-Founder of the Red de Acción Co-Creativa (RACC) between Colombia, Mexico and Latin America and Director of HUIA Lab, Laboratory of plural projects towards a construction of peace cultures with a territorial approach from design and artistic languages as tools for social transformation. He seeks the creation of local, national and international networks to develop collective projects establishing a line of action between design and the construction of multidimensional peace.  He has worked in organizations such as: professor at the Faculty of Architecture at the Universidad de los Andes and in the pedagogy strategy at the Commission for the Clarification of the Truth in Colombia, in the process of formation and articulation of the network of volunteers Generation V + national and international.
